CDMP Criteria you've met, and you're ready to take the exams.

  • I've been in a data management position full-time for at least 4 years as a Data Analyst, Chief Data Officer, Data Manager, Metadata Evangelist, Data Architect, etc

  • I have a number of Data Management courses, diplomas, degrees under my belt e.g SAP, Oracle, Data Quality Tool Training, etc

  • I not only know of the DMBoK, it's my bedside reading material and goes with me everywhere
    		•  yes
  • I definitely know about IS as I have come from an IT background
    		•  yes
  • I know what a tuple is and I can describe Unix in 3 different ways
    		•  yes

    You appear to be ready to sit the exams and you certainly appear to have enough education, experience and knowledge. Proctoring can be offered at any of the Chapter Events in your region as long as a booking has been made prior to the event. Proctoring is done free of charge at Chapter Events. Exams are paid for if you pass and are satisfied with the results. Each exam costs $285-00, payment of which is made directly to the ICCP (they do accept Credit Cards, EFT's and Paypal). The DAMA SA proctors may be able to proctor an exam for you outside of these events, but you will need to speak to them personally to arrange such a date and time.

    You will be required to provide your CV and references to the proctor, which will be forwarded to the ICCP together with your entrance form and your marks.

    Should you not obtain the minimum 50% pass rate, the proctor may, at their discretion, allow you time to re-write the exam. Alternatively another date will be made available. Please note that although there is a level of leniency in letting you re-write the exams, the cost is $257 which will be PLUS the exam fee of $285.

    The CDMP certificate will be awarded only once the ICCP and DAMA International are satisfied that all their requirements are met.
